In this video interview, Brian Pogue, professor of engineering at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH), describes the integration of laser-based imaging and spectroscopic techniques with established clinical imaging technologies such as MRI, CT and ultrasonography.

Pogue goes on to discuss the application of photodynamic therapy to cancer treatment, and takes a look at what laser scientists and innovators can do to ensure that today's ground-breaking research makes it out of the laboratory and into the hospital.
