Shaped beams target tiny tumours
As advances in imaging technology enable the detection of more and more early-stage cancers, it falls to clinical researchers and oncologists to develop effective treatments for such early-stage disease. Now, researchers at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC, Rochester, NY) are investigating the effectiveness of shaped-beam radiosurgery for treating tiny lung metastases.
