Optics illuminates protein dynamics
Individually tailored cancer treatments and faster drug testing are just two of the potential applications for a new generation of optical techniques being optimized by the Advanced Technology Development group at the Gray Cancer Institute (GCI; Northwood, UK) in collaboration with the University of Oxford, King’s College London (KCL) and several other UK academic partners. Their approach combines deep-tissue optical-imaging approaches with advanced fluorescence-microscopy methods and cutting-edge microirradiation technologies.
