Prostate motion no problem for tomotherapy
The unpredictable nature of prostate motion has raised concerns about the wisdom of using dynamic delivery methods for prostate cancer radiotherapy. The prostate may drift slowly between fractions or make sudden, transient movements. None of this behaviour can be forecast in advance. Even the most carefully sculpted radiotherapy regimen could miss the true target, homing in on healthy tissue instead.
