Leaf timing alters tomotherapy accuracy
Intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) systems may give treatment planners tremendous flexibility, but when the delivered dose is not exactly as intended, it can be difficult to work out why. Sourcing the root of the problem is particularly tricky for helical tomotherapy users, given the large number of beam angles employed in treatment plans and the interdependence of projections.
