Phantom helps validate arrhythmia test
Although abnormal heart rhythms can be detected relatively easily and non-invasively with electrocardiography (ECG), more invasive tests are often needed to locate the precise source of the problem. Several algorithms have been proposed that can track backwards from surface potential measurements to electrical sources. Fine in theory, but do these methods provide meaningful measurements when the signals are transmitted through a living, human body?
