World Congress of Brachytherapy

The next World Congress of Brachytherapy is scheduled to take place from 10-12 May 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

This is the fifth edition of this joint meeting which is planned to involve all world brachytherapy societies.

Specific scientific subjects for the meeting will include panel sessions on gynaecological tumours, partial breast irradiation and prostate cancers.

Specific topics will include new image modalities and their role in modern brachytherapy, health economics and safety in brachytherapy. A debate has been planned on opposing views on patient selection for partial breast irradiation.

Ample time will be given for proffered paper discussions.

This meeting will represent a good opportunity to exchange different brachytherapy indications, methods and results from all over the world. We hope to welcome a large number of participants who will be happy to participate at this important event.
