PICMA Bender piezo actuators offer several advantages over classic bimorph components: low voltage (medical applications!) faster response, higher stiffness, smaller electronics
PI's low voltage piezo bender actuators and OEM controllers are based on PI’s ceramic encapsulated PICMA® multilayer technology. Due to integrated high-resolution position feedback sensors they provide up to 20 times better linearity, accuracy & repeatability than conventional open-loop piezo benders.
