A homogenous water equivalent phantom is available for dosimetry of rotational radiotherapy beams.
MapPHAN is a water equivalent phantom that holds the MapCHECK 2D array at Isocentre for rotational dosimetry offering the user an accurate and convenient solution. MapPHAN with MapCHECK has successfully been tested with RapidArc, TomoTherapy and VMAT. Coronal/saggittal measurements are support and any new or existing MapCHECK user can upgrade to MapPHAN.
A Head & Neck field was delivered to MapPHAN and MapCHECK using a rotational delivery enabled LINAC. A 98.5% pass rate was achieved using 3% and 3mm DTA criteria.
